These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Leaf Scan app and services. By downloading or using Leaf Scan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

1. The service

Leaf Scan provides AI‑assisted plant identification, problem diagnosis, care reminders, and an AI Plant Doctor chat. The app is a helpful guide, not a substitute for professional horticultural, agricultural, or veterinary advice.

2. Subscriptions & billing

Leaf Scan offers auto‑renewable subscriptions:

• Annual — includes a 7‑day free trial for new subscribers, then renews yearly.
• Monthly — renews each month.

Key terms for auto‑renewable subscriptions:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto‑renew, in your App Store account settings after purchase.

3. Free trial

If you start the 7‑day free trial, you won't be charged during the trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid annual subscription at the standard price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

4. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled according to Apple's policies; please contact Apple Support to request a refund.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't misuse the service, attempt to reverse‑engineer it, or use it to break the law.
• Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.
• Don't rely solely on the app for decisions that could harm people, animals, or property.

6. Accuracy & limitation of liability

Plant identification and diagnosis use AI and may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete. We provide the service “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted, Leaf Scan is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including harm to plants, arising from use of the app. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

7. Intellectual property

Leaf Scan, its branding, and its software are owned by us and protected by law. You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload; you grant us a limited licence to process them to provide the service.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
